How do I book?
You can easily secure an appointment with Chai Studios by clicking the "Book Now" button, which will direct you to our booking website.
Please note that bridal bookings cannot be made through Fresha. Instead, you must complete our Bridal Inquiry form beforehand, and these requests will be managed via email.
Where are you located?
Chai Studios operates from a home-based studio situated in Auckland’s Torbay, North Shore.
Clients will receive the appointment address 1-2 days before their scheduled visit.
Do you offer travel?
For groups of three or more, travel arrangements can be made. A travel fee will apply to these bookings, which covers transportation costs along with the time and effort involved in packing and setting up equipment and kit.

How should I prepare my skin before the appointment?
Chai Studios recommends that you cleanse your face thoroughly before your appointment! A bit of gentle exfoliation the day prior can be helpful to remove any excess build up of dead skin. However, take it easy! We advise against trying any new or intense skin treatments unless they’re already part of your beauty routine.
Why is the deposit non-refundable?
To secure your appointment at Chai Studios, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total service cost is required at the time of booking. This confirms your appointment and ensures that the necessary time and resources are reserved exclusively for you.
By booking with Chai Studios, you agree to the following terms:
- Deposit Requirement: A deposit of 20% of the total service cost is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. This deposit will be applied towards the total cost of your service.
- Non-Refundable Deposit: The deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment, the deposit will not be refunded, as it covers the time and preparation reserved for your session.
- Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. The deposit will be applied to the new date, but if the appointment is rescheduled less than 48 hours in advance, the deposit will be forfeited.
- Cancellation: If you cancel your appointment without providing 48 hours’ notice, the deposit will not be refunded. No-shows will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance of your service is due on the day of your appointment - no later.

What if I am running late?
To ensure that all clients receive the best service and attention, we kindly ask that your arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Please note the following:
- Arrival Time: We request that clients arrive a few minutes before and/or at the scheduled time for their appointment. Should you anticipate being delayed or unable to arrive on time, please inform us as soon as possible.
- Delayed Arrival: If your arrive after the scheduled time, your appointment may be shortened to accommodate other clients, and the full service fee will still apply. In cases of significant delay, we reserve the right to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment.
- Late Fees: A late fee may be applied if you arrive after the scheduled start time, depending on the duration of the delay and the impact on Chai Studios schedule.

What if I need to cancel?
If you cancel your appointment without providing 48 hours’ notice, the deposit will not be refunded. No-shows will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?
Chai Studios allows makeup bookings up to 3 months in advance. For bridal bookings, we’re more flexible, so feel free to get in touch here and we’ll work with your timeline.
Can you do makeup for different skin tones and types?
Yes, we specialise in makeup for all skin tones and types. Each service is customised to suit your unique features and preferences, ensuring you look and feel your best!
What should I do if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
At Chai Studios, your health and safety are our top priority. To ensure the best and safest experience, we ask that all clients inform us of any known allergies or sensitives prior to their makeup appointment.

Can I bring my own makeup products to my appointment?
Yes! You're more than welcome to bring anything you know and love, like your favourite foundation or lipstick shade.
Are photos or videos taken during my session?
At Chai Studios, we are proud to highlight our work and the incredible transformations we achieve for our clients. To share these experiences with a broader audience, we enjoy capturing photographs and videos during our appointments, which may be utilised for promotional purposes.
Chai Studios respects your privacy, and you are welcome to decline any photos or recordings.
